THE WORD OF GOD

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, and perfectly preserved for us in its current form.  The Bible is complete as the revelation of God’s will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority concerning truth, morality, faith practice, and the proper conduct of mankind. (2Ti.3:16-17; 2Pe.1:21; Jn.14:26; 1Co.2:13; Jer.30:2; Mt.24:35)

THE TRINITY

We believe in one triune God, creator and sustainer of all things, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are equal in every divine perfection and they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption. (Dt.6:4; Ge.1:1; Neh.9:6; Mt.3:16-17; Mt.28:19; Jn.10:30-33; 1Co.2:11; 2Co.13:14)

GOD THE FATHER

We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, measureless in power. He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, He hears and answers prayer, and He saves from sin and death all that come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Ps.90:1-2;91:15; Jn.4:24; Jn.3:16-18; Isa.45:21-22;65:24; Heb.4:15-16; Ro. 6:23)

GOD THE SON

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, being true God and true man. We believe in His sinless life, His substitutionary atonement for the sin of the world by His death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and His personal, visible, glorious and triumphant return from heaven. (Jn.1:1; Mt.1:18-21; 28:2-6; 2Co.5:21; Isa.53:4-5; Ro.5:8; 8:34; 1Co.15:3; Col.1:17-18; 1Pe.2:24; Eph.1:20-22; Heb.1:3;4:15; 1Th.4:14-17)

GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit whose work is to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, preserve and comfort those who believe in Jesus Christ. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and to implement Christ’s work of redeeming the lost and empowering the believer for godly living and service. (Jn. 16:7-11; Tit.3:5; 2Co.3:18; Eph.4:11,30; 1:13-14; 1Co.6:19; 12:7-11; 2:12; Gal.5:22-23; Ac.1:8; Ro.12:5-8)

SALVATION

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned by choice, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God. We believe that salvation is not obtained from any human merit, works or ritual, but is based solely upon the sovereign grace of God and was purchased by Jesus Christ on the cross. We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming children of God, resulting in an ever-increasing desire for righteous living, good works, and proper social concern. (Ge.1:27; 2:7; 3:6-7; Ro. 5:12; 7:14-25; 3:23; 6:23; Isa. 59:2; Eph.4:18; 2:8-9; 1:4-7; Acts 3:19-21; Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 2Co.5:21;Tit. 3:5; Jn.3:16; 1:12; 3:18)

THE CHURCH

We believe that the Church is a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the Head, composed of all persons who, through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that this body expresses and renews itself in autonomous local assemblies, free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority, whose members have committed themselves after a credible profession of faith to the observance of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Table, and have associated themselves for worship, instruction, evangelism, and service. (Eph. 1:22-23; Ac.2:38; 2:41; Tit.3:5; 1Co.12:13; 11:23-28; Co. 1:17-18; Mt.23:10; 28:19-20; Ro.6:4; Mk.16:15)

LAST THINGS

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the eternal existence of all men either in heaven or hell, in divine judgments, rewards, and punishments. (1Co.15:51-58; 1Th.4:13-18; 2Co.5:10; Rev.20:11-15; Rev. 21:1-27)
